Camp Knickerbocker (or, more commonly known as “Camp K”) sits on a freshwater lake in Boothbay, Maine. With access to the water in three different locations, we spend lots of time at the waterfront! Our DAY CAMP is split into categories:   Explorers: This group is our campers ages 5/6 years old. With ratios kept low, this group travels as one pod with staff. They try all that camp has to offer (that is safe for them!) such as swimming, hiking, nature exploration, sports, tennis, crafts, gardening, nutrition, dance exercise, and more! Each pod has a lead counselor with supporting staff. During the day, staff are allowed to take blocks of time to plan their own activities if they like....
YMCA Camp of Maine

YMCA Camp of Maine

The YMCA Camp of Maine is a co-ed residential camp, for children ages 7-16 which offers camper-elected programs in Aquatics, Creative Arts, Sports and Outdoor Living Skills. The emphasis on cabin life, friendship, special events and weekend programs builds a lasting community. Small groups and cabins have counselors as positive role models. The counselor to camper ratio is one to four. Explorers Camp is an opportunity to try overnight camp for children aged 7 to 9. Spend four days and three nights exploring camp. The Leadership-In-Training program prepares teens (age 15 or completion of ninth grade) to be leaders at camp and in there own community. Choice of one and two week sessions. Groups welcome in the spring and fall. Come and visit us....
