Thursday, April 30, 2026; 9am – 12:30pm
Smith Center at Wolfe’s Neck Center for Agriculture and the Environment in Freeport (home of Farm Camp, a MSC member)

MSC Members: $40 per camp (for up to 4 staff); $10/pp for more than 4

The MSC DEI Committee presents an in-person Workshop:

  • Are you sometimes at a loss when asked to support a camper “on the spectrum”?
  • Do your staff feel unprepared for certain cognitive or learning styles?
  • Are you trying to understand how best to work with staff who may be neurodiverse or struggling with anxiety?
  • If you answered yes to any of these questions, you’ll be happy to attend!

The workshop goal is for attendees to walk away with several practical session ideas that can be customized for pre-camp training at individual MSC member camps this summer.

Join presenters Emily Chaleff, of Chaleff Consulting, and Haley Pogachefsky, of Hummingbird OT, for this important session. Enjoy coffee and conversation at 9. The workshop begins promptly at 9:30am and ends at 12:45pm. While having attended the recent Winter Workshop is not a requirement, for those who did, this session will build on fundamentals discussed by Emily Golinsky and Nick Teich. Haley and Emily are collaborating, in partnership with the MSC DEI Committee, to create this session exclusively for MSC camp members and connected camp professionals.
