Maine Huts & Trails

Maine Huts & Trails is a nonprofit organization offering a free trail network in Western Maine with backcountry lodges available for bookings. Our non-motorized trails are ideal for skiing, snowshoeing and fat biking during the winter, and hiking, trail running and mountain biking in the summer. Along the trail are four backcountry eco-lodges available for trips and full hut rentals.
Turn your next getaway into something unforgettable with a private hut rental just for your group. In 2026, Flagstaff Lake and Stratton Brook Huts are open from May 15th through November 2nd. Bring your school, community group, family retreat and more. A staff member will greet you on-site, handle check-in, and walk you through all the amenities so you can settle in and start enjoying your time right away.
– Full hut, self-service group rentals for mid-May to early November. Perfect for families, school groups, and special events.
– Email sshirley@mainehuts.org for more information about small group stays (2+ guests).
