UMaine 4-H Camp at Tanglewood
UMaine’s 4-H Camp at Tanglewood along the Ducktrap River in Lincolnville offers youth the opportunity to master skills in science and arts education through hands-on discovery while having fun with friends. Residential campers shape their experience and gain independence through activity choice (STEM, archery, gardening, watershed and marine ecology, creative arts, drama, wilderness adventures and primitive skills), eating delicious home-cooked meals, and in “wicked” evening programs. Day camps nurture a child’s sense of wonder and are developed for younger campers, with nature exploration and creative play. Teen Leadership builds community-minded young adults through teamwork, problem solving, and stewardship while applying skills on backpacking and canoeing wilderness trips.
