Growing Routes
Growing Routes aims to nurture confidence, creativity, and compassion through small-group explorations.
Camp Chloë, our overnight camp, offers a magical summer experience for ages 8-16. We intentionally keep our groups small, with just 8-20 campers, creating a relaxed, family-like atmosphere where campers feel safe and supported in exploring their interests.
Days are filled with swimming at our private lakefront, hiking wooded trails, making art, gardening, canoeing, scavenger hunts, playing games, and enjoying unstructured moments of connection and joy. We cook meals together using fresh produce from our gardens, churn ice cream with berries we’ve picked, spend quiet afternoons reading in the apple orchard, and fall asleep to the ancient sounds of loons and crickets.
Our camp home, Twigg Farm in Union, Maine, spans 84 acres of woods, fields, and water, including a small frog pond and 600 feet of private shoreline on Seven Tree Pond—offering endless possibilities for adventure and discovery.
At Camp Chloë, days are structured yet flexible, balancing exciting challenges with the simple delights of summer. Campers are active participants in shaping their experience, sharing ideas, contributing their voices, and finding joy and a sense of belonging in our camp community.
In this empowering environment, campers:
- Build lasting friendships and connections
- Increase confidence and enjoyment in the outdoors
- Develop curiosity and openness to new ideas and experiences
- Gain an appreciation for life’s small wonders
- Learn strategies for managing anxiety and stress
- Cultivate self-awareness, confidence, and humility
Camp Chloë isn’t just a summer camp—it’s a family where every camper’s voice matters, and they feel supported and free to explore and be their true selves.
