David Hough has been training lifeguards at summer camps for the past twenty years. He works with camps in Maine to train their new and existing staff to become American Red Cross lifeguard-certified.

David is an American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR Instructor, a licensed WEMT, a licensed teacher, and a licensed Special Education Administrator for a public high school. He has worked in and with summer camps in New England for the past 25 years–as a lifeguard, counselor, waterfront director, and camp director in Maine.

He has a solid understanding of the specific needs of Maine summer camps and a solid background in delivering hands-on, quality instruction. Whether it be in the pool or the lake, he is in the water with camp staff, making sure each entry, rescue, or approach is modeled–and supported–throughout the entirety of the course.
