Resident – Non-Profit, Religious Affiliation. Ages 7-16. Tuition: $400 (7 days); 7
one-week sessions (multiple sessions encouraged).
Bishopswood,
Diocese of Maine (Episcopal), welcomes campers regardless of religious
affiliation. Responsible community living and stewardship of all creation
is emphasized in all aspects of camp life. Program areas include:
swimming, boating, crafts, camp craft, campouts, nature study, camper
kitchen projects, sports & games, creative dramatics, faith development, special events,
and a weekly worship service.
Located on the shores of
Lake Megunticook, spacious facilities provide for outdoor and indoor
enjoyment. Campers and counselors live in cabins. A central bathhouse,
with hot water, convenient to all. Meals are family style in the Dining
Hall.
Staff members are
dedicated, trained, and many are former Bishopswood campers. A
Counselor-In-Training program is offered to selected teenagers who have
completed the 10th grade.
