Non-Profit. Agassiz Village is located in Poland, Maine with 400 acres and a mile of Thompson Lake shoreline. Our camp is open from June to August for campers’ age 8-17 years old. The mission of Agassiz Village is to prepare youth for life’s journey in a village environment, while developing leadership and life skills. Our program involves traditional camp activities such as swimming, archery, boating, hiking, camping, plus classes like photography and newspaper. The American Camping Association accredits our camp, and our staff to child ratio is 7 to 1. We offer day and overnight camp, with the most popular being our 2-week overnight camp session for $500.
